If Lyle is really as omniscient as you claim for him to be then we have a problem...
a) His knowledge must be flawed in someway because he doesn't know that his haircut is about 20 years old.
or
b) His knowledge has given him a glimpse into a new wave of tall,curly hairstyles...in which case we are all doomed.

Actually, Bob, I'd argue there's a c) here.
c)Lyle knows he has a 20 year old haircut and doesn't care. Or he knows and also knows that hair actually matters significantly less than our world tends to assert. Personally, I like the second possibility here more than the first. Hair's not that important. That's why I keep losing mine.

so more or less he is gloating about with his big hair in front of those fans of his who are losing their hair rapidly? That is not a just Lyle at all.

Somehow I missed this until now. Your weird conversation about hair notwithstanding...
- I really like Lyle.
- I really like this song (one of my favorites, ever).
- This still seems a bit weird. And it's not because of his hair.
- At least Brian Wilson is enthusiastic about it.
